The
photos of Brixham (please scroll down page) were taken on the Buccaneers Way and Blackbeard's Trail. As
detailed elsewhere in this web site, David has re packaged the 2 walking guides he developed in the 1990's ,(and waymarked
by the council in 1996), changing the names of the walks from Mariners Way and Panorama Route to Buccaneers Way and Blackbeards
Trail. Both walks take participants through the town, Blackbeards Trail takes in Middle Street and the Quay and the Buccaneers
way takes in Fore Street King Street and Bolton Street. The old guide to both walks was available until recently in
the TIC, The new guides are free and available at the TIC Museum Library various shops & b & b's
and on the Quay on Pirate Day. They point out the Beacon of Light Church
where the Buccanneer Social Club meets on many Thursdays during the year The routes were newly waymarked in time for the first pirate day of the 2011 summer season (July
