Plans for 2012

David has suggested the following ideas

Permanent Pirate Display in Bolton Street

David proposes to allocate space in his shop for a permanent pirate display, open to all, an educational experience . Initally it will consist of the display that was researched by Nigel (Capt Blood and Guts) and to be found under the fish quay during the 2010 Pirate Festival.  Visitors to the display will be encouraged to make their own contributions to the display be it artifacts or information. The exhibition will hopefully also include  a little of the historyof the BRixham Buccaneers

KId's club

One of the success stories of 2010 and 2011 is the number of children wanting to dress up for Pirate Days. It has been suggested that thought be givien to letting those children dressed up paying less for activites on Pirate days, that they should have a badge etc and be invited to join a Kids club with the possibility of advance info being emailed if they so wished

BIrthday Celebrations

It is an interesting fact that most of the Brixham Buccaneers were born on a thursday in the summertime, therefore it seems only right that we should celebrate that fact on pirate days. Therefore expect on each Pirate day during summer 2012 to celebrate one of the pirate's birthdays!!!

Trader and guest house involvement

David has suggested that as the Pirate days and festivals have been so successful and as many of the new initiatives - to gether with the well establised Pirate Trail quiz - should spread people around much of Brixham Town Centre, Traders should once again be encouraged to dress up or fly flags or decorate shops with bunting on Pirate Thursdays and during the Pirate Festival in order to   consolidate the Pirate Theme and (potential) customer experience. Also guesthouses and hotels will be asked to display bunting and flags on pirate days !

Puppets on You tube

We have uploaded one of 2 videos of the puppet shows to Youtube. Our grateful thanks to Gill and Tony for the videos!

New Puppet Theatre

We have made an  exciting new puppet theatre, come and see it on the Quay on our Pirate Days!!!
